The incident occurred during an official project review session, where the contractor began his presentation with detailed layouts of a mortuary facility. Midway into the briefing, Governor Eno interjected, drawing laughter from officials and onlookers as he questioned the logic of prioritising a mortuary over the hospital itself.
“With all due respect,” the governor remarked jokingly, “you were asked to build a hospital, not to start by showing me where people will be taken after they die.” His comment instantly set the room abuzz with laughter, easing the formal atmosphere of the meeting.
